Concern for Missing Mother and Daughter

UPDATE: October 9, 2017: Arlene and Marie Grant have been LOCATED safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 73-year-old mother and her 50-year old daughter.

Arlene Grant, age 50, of North Lakewood Avenue in Baltimore, and her mother, 73-year-old Marie Grant, of Cairncross Terrace in the Aspen Hill area, were last seen on Saturday, October 7. Arlene Grant has contacted family members via text since that time but has not provided information about her and her mother's whereabouts.

On October 7, Arlene Grant picked up her mother (Marie Grant) from her assisted-living home located on Cairncross Terrace so that both could attend a family function.  The plan was that after the event, Arlene Grant would drive her mother home to the Cairncross residence but she did not.

Family and police are concerned for Arlene and Marie Grant's emotional and physical welfare.  Marie Grant has Alzheimer's disease.  She is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair.  She is without her medication.

Arlene Grant is described as an African-American female, approximately 5'09" inches tall and 145 pounds.  Marie Grant is described as an African-American female, approximately 5'2" inches tall and 130 pounds.  Marie Grant was last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants.  Arlene is believed to be driving a 2016 silver Nissan Quest minivan with Maryland tags: 6CH5492.
