Detectives Investigate Fairland Area 7-Eleven Armed Robbery; Surveillance Photographs Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the August 28 armed robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store in the Fairland area. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photographs of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On August 28 at approximately 1:42 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 13880 Old Columbia Pike for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the store, proceeded to the counter where an employee was working, and stated that he wanted to purchase an item that was on display behind the counter.  When the employee opened the register to ring up the sale, the suspect produced a handgun and demanded money. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands.  The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of currency and fled from the 7-Eleven toward Briggs Chaney Road.
