Wheaton GameStop Robbery Investigated; Composite Sketch Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the October 3 armed robbery of a GameStop store in Wheaton.  Today, investigators are releasing a composite sketch of one of the two suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The investigation by detectives revealed that on Tuesday, October 3 at approximately 8:50 p.m., two suspects, one armed with a handgun, entered the GameStop store located at 11147 Veirs Mill Road.  The first suspect confronted a store employee and demanded cash from the store’s safe.

After stealing money from the safe, the first suspect then forced the first store employee into the office where the second suspect brought the second employee. The two suspects then stole property from the store and fled from the back door of the business.

The first suspect is described as an African-American male who is 5’ 7” tall and heavy set.  He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, and was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as an African-American male who is 6’ 2” tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.  He was wearing a black jacket and black pants.
