Update: Identity of MCP Officer Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver Released

For Immediate Release: Thursday, October 19, 2017

An officer from the 3rd District was injured in a collision involving a hit-and-run driver on Wednesday evening; the investigation is continuing.  She is now being identified as 3rd District Officer Heather Haynes.

Officer Haynes was transported by Fire and Rescue personnel to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  She was released from the hospital at approximately 5:00 a.m. this morning.

The Prince George's County Police Department continues to investigate this hit-and-run collision.
