Detectives Seek Public's Help to Locate Missing Gaithersburg Male with Autism

Update: October 27, 2017 - Alvaro Cervantes has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 28-year-old male with Autism.

Alvaro Cervantes of McDonald Chapel Court in Gaithersburg left his residence today on foot at approximately 2:30 p.m. to go shopping.

Cervantes is described as a Hispanic male, 5’4” tall, and weighing 140 pounds. He has curly black hair and brown eyes.  He may be walking with a limp.  Cervantes is familiar with public transportation and may be at a bus stop or transit center.  He might be carrying a white backpack.

Anyone with information in regard to the whereabouts of Mr. Cervantes is asked to call 9-1-1 or the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (available 24 hours).
