Concern for Missing Silver Spring Area Man

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's help to locate a missing Silver Spring area man.

Robert H. Matthews, age 47, left the assisted living facility where he resides on Daleview Road on foot at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 26.  He has not been in contact with caretakers since that time.

Mr. Matthews is described as an African American male who is 6' 6" tall and weighs 218 pounds.  He has a grey beard and was last seen wearing clothing to include a light green reflective vest and an orange baseball cap.  Mr. Matthews uses a cane when he walks and is known to frequent the area of University Boulevard and Piney Branch Road.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Robert H. Matthews is asked to call 9-1-1 or the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.  (available 24 hours).
