Update: Cause of Death Determined in Domestic-Related Homicide

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the domestic-related homicide that occurred at a residence in the 11000 block of Bradbury Manor Court in the White Oak area.

Today, November 9, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) ruled the cause of Blackwell’s death as blunt force trauma and asphyxia.

On Tuesday, November 7 at approximately 6:48 a.m., Anthony Miguel Strong called the Emergency Communications Center (911) and stated that he had killed his girlfriend, identified as Blackwell, and that he was currently outside of his residence.  Officers responded to the home located in the 11000 block of Bradbury Manor Court and located Strong outside of the home.  Officers located Blackwell deceased inside of the home with apparent trauma to her body.  Strong was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of first-degree murder.  He is currently being held without bond.
