Detectives Investigate Commercial Burglary in Bethesda; Surveillance Video Released

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, November 15, 2017

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 2nd District Investigative Section continue to investigate the commercial burglary of the Bradley Party & Variety store located at 6922 Arlington Road in Bethesda.  Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The investigation by detectives determined that on August 26 at approximately 1:30 p.m., the suspect entered the store posing as a customer.  A review of the business’ surveillance video revealed that the suspect went to the rear of the store and entered an area designated for employees only.  The suspect forcibly opened a locked door to an area that contained business proceeds.  The suspect stole money, returned to the main area of the store, and walked out of the business.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this burglary is asked to contact the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspects.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
