Concern for Missing Silver Spring Area Woman

Update: November 21 - Amanda Claire Hanlon has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring area woman.

Amanda Claire Hanlon, age 18, was last seen by family members at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20 when she left her Geren Road home on foot. Family members have been unable to contact her since that time.

Hanlon is described as a white female, approximately 5’ 3” tall and weighs 140 pounds.  She has long purple hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.  Hanlon may also have a German Shepherd puppy with her.

Police and family are concerned for Hanlon’s welfare.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Amanda Claire Hanlon to call the Montgomery County Police Department’s non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
