Detectives Investigate Double Shooting in Germantown

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 5th District Investigative Section are investigating a double shooting that occurred yesterday evening in Germantown. Investigators believe that this was not a random event and there is some prior association between the suspect(s) and the victims.

On Tuesday, December 12 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (911) received multiple calls for the reports of two persons who had been shot in the area of the 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road.

Upon arrival, first responders located the two victims inside a food establishment.  A 26-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body and a 27-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body.  Both victims were transported to an area hospital.  Their injuries are described as non-life threatening.

This double shooting remains an open investigation.  Detectives continue to interview witnesses and canvass the area to gather information and obtain additional details.
