Detectives Investigate Commercial Burglary and Truck Stolen from Purple Line Construction Site

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 2nd District Investigative Section continue to investigate the commercial burglary of a building located at 8800 block of Brookville Road that is used by employees of Purple Line Transit Constructors, LLC and the theft of a construction truck from that building.  Today, detectives are releasing a photograph of the stolen truck and are asking for anyone with information about the vehicle’s location or information about these crimes to come forward to police.

The investigation by detectives has determined that between December 22 and December 27, the unknown suspect(s) pried open a door to the building that stores tools and other equipment that is used during the construction of the Purple Line.  During the burglary, the suspect(s) stole tools valued at several thousand dollars and a Ford F450 Stake Body belonging to the Purple Line Transit Constructors, LLC company.

Anyone who has information regarding this burglary and/or the stolen truck is asked to contact the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online.
