Concern for Missing Germantown Man

Update: January 11, 2019 - Joseph Moubarek has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives with the 5th District Investigative Section are asking the public for assistance in locating a missing 20-year-old Germantown man with Down syndrome.

Joseph Moubarek, age 20, of the 12000 block of Winding Creek Way in Germantown, was last seen on the evening of January 9, as he left MedStar Washington Hospital Center located at 110 Irving Street in N.W. Washington, DC.

Moubarek is described as a white male, approximately 5’6” tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Moubarek was last seen wearing a red and black jacket and black Sorel boots.

Police and family are concerned for his physical and emotional welfare.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Joseph Moubarek to call the Montgomery County Police Department’s non-emergency number at 301-279-8000. Callers may remain anonymous.
