Detectives Investigate Silver Spring Station Armed Robbery; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the December 10 armed robbery of a Shell gas station in Silver Spring.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the two suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On December 10 at approximately 8:31 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Shell gas station located at 100 University Boulevard West for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the two suspects, both with their faces concealed and one armed with a handgun, entered the gas station and confronted an adult employee who was working behind the counter.  The suspects demanded money and after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash from the register they fled from the store on foot toward Sutherland Road.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
