Concern for Missing Silver Spring Woman

UPDATE: February 1, 2018 - Tonya Murray has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking the public for help in locating a missing Silver Spring Woman.

Tonya Murray, age 26, was last seen by family when she left her White Oak residence on Stewart Lane on foot at approximately 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25.

Tonya Murray is described as an African American female, approximately 5’ 8” tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds. She has short black hair and brown eyes. She was last known to be wearing a black knit hat, yellow bandana, black hooded sweatshirt, a red Washington Nationals t-shirt with a white “W” on the front, and white snow boots.

Police and family are concerned for Tonya Murray’s physical and emotional welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Tonya Murray is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hours).
