Detectives Investigate Commercial Burglary in Bethesda; Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 2nd District Investigative Section continue to investigate the commercial burglary of the Center for Ocular Reconstruction located at 4845 Rugby Avenue in Bethesda.  Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying her.

On January 26 at approximately 9:30 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the Center for Ocular Reconstruction for the report of a burglary that had just been discovered by an employee arriving to open the business. Officers spoke with the employee who stated money was missing from a cash box.  A review of the business’ surveillance video revealed that on January 25 at approximately 6:39 p.m., the female suspect entered the business from the building’s elevator. The suspect left the office at approximately 6:59 p.m.

Anyone who recognizes this suspect or has information about this burglary is asked to contact the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6700.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspects.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
