Detectives Investigate Silver Spring 7-Eleven Armed Robbery; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the February 11 armed robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store in Silver Spring.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Sunday, February 11 at approximately 6:53 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 8202 Georgia Avenue for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the 7-Eleven carrying a wooden board with nails protruding from it.  The suspect confronted an adult male employee who was working behind the counter and demanded cash from the register.  The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of currency from the register and fled on foot.
