Concern for Missing Wheaton Juvenile

UPDATE: February 14, 2018 - 11:05 PM - Katherine Gimena Aguilar Pineda has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile.

Katherine Gimena Aguilar Pineda, age 13, of Amherst Avenue in Wheaton, did not return home from school today and has not contacted her family regarding her whereabouts.

Pineda is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 5’05” tall, and weighs approximately 100 pounds.  She has long, black hair and dark brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a red sweater, black Puma sneakers (with a white stripe on the side of the shoes), and was carrying a black North Face backpack.

Police and family are concerned for Pineda's welfare. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Katherine Pineda is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Department’s non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
