Detectives Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Derwood Commercial Burglary Suspects; Surveillance Photograph Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 1st District Investigative Section continue to investigate the February 25 commercial burglary of the National Tire & Battery (NTB) store located at 15609 Frederick Road in Derwood.  Today, investigators are releasing a surveillance photograph of the suspects and are asking for the public’s help to identify them.

On February 26 at approximately 1:23 p.m., 1st District officers responded to the National Tire and Battery store for the report of a burglary that had just been discovered by an employee.  Officers obtained surveillance photographs from a nearby business and determined that the two suspects forced entry into a storage structure on the National Tire and Battery property at approximately 11:30 a.m. on February 25.  The suspects stole tires from the structure and fled the area in blue pickup truck.

Investigators are asking residents to look at the enlarged details of the suspects’ truck in the surveillance photograph.  Anyone with information regarding the suspects is asked to call the 1st District Investigative Section at 240-773-6084. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided that leads to an arrest in this case.
