Concern for Missing Silver Spring Area Man

Update: Michael Wilder has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring area man.

Michael Wilder, age 55, resides in a group home located on Barron Street and was last seen by caretakers at approximately 1:44 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, when he left the home on foot.

Wilder is described as a white male, 5’ 5” tall and weighing 180 pounds.  He has blonde hair and blue eyes.  Wilder was last seen wearing a white shirt, tan pants, and tan shoes.  He is known to frequent 7-Eleven convenience stores, Rite Aid pharmacies, and liquor stores in the Takoma Park area.

Police and family are concerned for Wilder’s physical and emotional welfare.
