Concern for Missing Kemp Mill Area Teenager

Update: May 7, 2017 - Randy Aaron Powell has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenager.

Randy Aaron Powell, age 13, of the 11700 block of Lovejoy Street in the Kemp Mill area, was last seen today at approximately 4:00 p.m. in the area of the 1800 block of Franwall Avenue.

Powell is described as a white male, approximately 5’ 4” tall, and weighs approximately 130 pounds.  He has blond hair and blue eyes. Powell was last seen wearing a black t- shirt, black torn jeans over black running pants, and purple suede Timberland boots.  Powell has a white cast on his left hand.

Powell is known to frequent the downtown Wheaton area, the Kemp Mill area, and Flower Avenue in Silver Spring.  He is familiar with public transportation.

Police and family are concerned for Randy Powell's welfare. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Randy Powell is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Department’s non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
