Concern For Missing 23-Year-Old Man

For Immediate Release: Sunday, May 13, 2018

Update: May 14, 2018 - Carlos Alberto Umana has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the 3rd District  Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a 23-year-old male.

Carlos Alberto Umana, was last seen at his Winterthur Court residence in the Cannon Road area of Silver Spring just after midnight on Sunday, May 13.  He had a disagreement with a family member, left the home, and drove away.  Police and family are concerned for his emotional and physical welfare.

Carlos Umana is described as a Hispanic male, 5' 11" tall, and weighing approximately 300 pounds.  He has short black hair and brown eyes.  At the time he left, he was wearing blue camouflage shorts.  He was without a shirt and footwear.

Carlos Umana may be driving a black 2013 Nissan Altima with Maryland tags, 5DB9165.

Anyone with information with regard to the whereabouts of Carlos Umana or the location of the black Nissan Altima is urged to dial 911.
