Detectives Investigate Undetermined Death in Wheaton

For Immediate Release: Monday, June 11, 2018

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Major Crimes Division and Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating the undetermined death of an adult male who was located injured in the roadway of Huggins Drive in the Wheaton area.

On June 10 at approximately 10:01 p.m., 4th District officers and Montgomery County Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the 11800 block of Huggins Drive for the report of a person in the road.  First responders located the male and he was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  Because it is still unclear how the victim sustained his injuries, Major Crimes and Collision Reconstruction Unit detectives will conduct a joint investigation.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. The identity of the victim will be released when it is confirmed.
