Concern for Missing Bethesda Woman

UPDATE: August 21, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. - Vanessa Mallory Kotz was located deceased.  There is no foul play suspected in her death. ____________________________________

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 2^nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Bethesda woman.

Vanessa Mallory Kotz, age 42, was last seen by family on Saturday, August 18 at approximately 10:00 a.m., when she left her Battery Lane residence on foot to attend a scheduled doctor’s appointment. Detectives continue to work to determine if Mallory Kotz arrived at her appointment.

Mallory Kotz is described as a white female, 5’ 2” tall, and weighing 170 pounds. She has blonde hair, brown eyes, and wears glasses. Mallory Kotz has a tattoo on her left shoulder and a tattoo on her right wrist.

Police and family are concerned for Mallory Kotz’s emotional and physical welfare.
