Detectives Investigate Shooting in White Oak

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred this afternoon in White Oak.  Investigators believe that this was not a random event and that the suspect and the victim are known to each other.

This afternoon (Friday, August 24) at approximately 5:33 p.m., 3rd District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a home in the 11500 block of Lockwood Drive for the report of an adult male who had been shot inside the residence.   Responding officers located the victim inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.  The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

This shooting remains an open investigation and detectives are working to confirm additional details.  Those details will be released once they have been confirmed.
