Detectives Investigate Commercial Burglary in Silver Spring; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative section continue to investigate the August 5 commercial burglary of the HIAS office in Silver Spring. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the two suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On Monday, August 6, 3^rd District officers responded to the HIAS office located at 1300 Spring Street for the report of a commercial burglary that had just been discovered by an employee arriving to open the business.

Investigators reviewed business video surveillance that showed the suspects inside the front lobby of the business at approximately 5:19 p.m. on Sunday, August 5.  Detectives have not yet determined how the suspects gained entry into the business. The suspects stole items from the lobby desk area and from an office.

Anyone who recognizes these suspects or has information about this burglary is asked to contact the 3^rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspects.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
