Concern for Missing Silver Spring Man

Update: September 10, 2018 - James Leonard Stowe has been located safe and unharmed.




Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Silver Spring man.

James Leonard Stowe, age 32, was last seen by staff at the Oakview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center located at 2700 Barker Street in Silver Spring on September 4 at approximately 6:30 p.m.

James Stowe is described as a black male, 5’ 7” tall, and weighing 170 pounds.  He has short black hair, brown eyes, and facial hair.  He also has a tattoo (that includes the Cadillac emblem) on his neck and chest.  Stowe uses a wheelchair.  He was last seen wearing a red shirt and dark blue jeans.

Police and family are concerned for Stowe's welfare as he requires medical treatment that he is not receiving at the present time.
