Concern For Gaithersburg Man

Update: September 18, 2018: Dewight Whitaker has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives with the 5th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Gaithersburg man.

Dewight Allan Whitaker, age 31, was last seen at his place of employment, Northwest High School, located in Germantown on the evening of Friday, September 14.  Whitaker's residence is located on Inkberry Circle in Gaithersburg.

Dewight Whitaker is described as an African American male, who is 6' 4" tall, and weighs 230 pounds.  He has black hair and brown eyes.  He has tattoos on his arms.  He may be driving a black, 2011 Toyota Camry with Washington state tag, AYD8608.

Police and family are concerned for Whitaker's emotional and physical welfare.  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Dewight Whitaker or the Toyota Camry, is asked to contact Montgomery County Police at 301.279.8000
