Concern for Missing Silver Spring Man

For Immediate Release: Monday, September 24, 2018

Update: September 26, 2018 - Michael Cruz has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Silver Spring man.

Michael Cruz, age 49, of the 8700 block of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, was last seen on Monday, September 19, at his apartment building.  He has been in contact with a roommate via cellular phone texts but will not reveal his whereabouts.

Cruz is described as a white male, 5’9? tall, and weighing 165 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair worn in a crew cut.

Police and family are concerned for Cruz' welfare.
