Double Shooting Investigated as Domestic-Related Murder-Suicide

Detectives with the Montgomery County Police - Major Crimes Division are investigating the fatal shooting of two adults in a home in the Spencerville area.

On Saturday, September 29 at approximately 8:00 p.m., 4th District officers along with Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the 15100 block of Peach Orchard Road.  First responders located a 56-year-old male and a 53-year-old female, both deceased, inside the home.  The victims had apparent gunshot wounds to their bodies; a firearm was recovered at the scene.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the decedents were involved in a relationship and lived together in the home.  At this time detectives are unable to confirm the motive for the shootings but they are investigating this event as a domestic-related murder-suicide.

The identities of the victims will be released once family has been notified; additional information will be released as it is confirmed.
