Detectives Investigate Commercial Burglaries in Silver Spring; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative section continue to investigate burglaries of four businesses located in the same building in Silver Spring. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Saturday, September 15, 3rd District officers responded to an office building located at 8720 Georgia Avenue for the report of a burglary that had just been discovered by an employee arriving to open the building.

Investigators reviewed video surveillance that showed the suspect inside the building at approximately 6:33 p.m. on Friday, September 14.  The suspect forced entry into four business suites and stole property.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about these burglaries is asked to contact the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspects.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
