Concern for Missing Burtonsville Man

Update: October 11, 2018 - Samuel Geatchew Liben has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Burtonsville man.

Samuel Geatchew Liben, age 30, left his Halton Hall Lane home on foot Saturday evening (October 6), and last contacted a family member via text message at approximately 3:21 p.m. this afternoon (Monday, October 8).  Family have been unable to contact him since that time.

Liben is described as an African American male, 6' 1? tall and weighing 150 pounds.  He has brown eyes and black hair.

Police and family are concerned for Liben’s welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Samuel Geatchew Liben is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (available 24 hours). Callers may remain anonymous.
