Detectives Investigate Serious Pedestrian-Involved Collision in Rockville

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a serious, pedestrian-involved collision that occurred early this morning in Rockville.

This morning (Thursday, October 18) at approximately 6:15, 1st District officers, Rockville City officers, and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of Hungerford Drive (MD Route 355) and Frederick Avenue for the report of a serious collision involving a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2003 Lexus ES300, driven by Valerie Jeanne Beaudoin, age 56, of the 19900 block of Burchap Place in Montgomery Village, was traveling southbound on Hungerford Drive.  A pedestrian, identified as Dingguo Guo, age 61, of the 1900 block of Valley Stream Drive in Rockville, was crossing westbound Frederick Avenue at Hungerford Drive. For reasons still under investigation, the Lexus collided with Guo in the intersection.

Guo was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Beaudoin was not injured in the collision.
