Detectives Investigate Silver Spring 7-Eleven Armed Robbery; Surveillance Photograph Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the October 13 armed robbery of a 7-Eleven located at 8455 Colesville Road.  Today, investigators are releasing a surveillance photograph of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The investigation by detectives revealed that an adult male employee was behind the counter when the suspect entered the store.  The suspect approached the employee and displayed a weapon.  After being threatened, the employee fled to the rear of the store.  The suspect stole property from display shelves behind the counter.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
