Detectives Investigate Wheaton CVS Pharmacy Armed Robbery; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the October 21 armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy in Wheaton.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Sunday, October 21 at approximately 9:55 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 2321 University Boulevard West for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the CVS, displayed a handgun, and confronted the adult male clerk who was behind the counter.  The suspect threatened the clerk and demanded that the clerk open the store’s safe.  The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands.  The suspect stole currency from the safe and then fled.
