Update: Suspect Charged in Germantown Package Theft – Tipsters Helped Close This Case

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 5th District Patrol Investigations Unit have charged Brian Andrew Davis, age 25, of the 500 block of Pacer Drive in Hyattsville, with theft.  On September 25, Davis was observed on surveillance video stealing a package from the front door area of a home located in the 18900 block of Fountain Hills Drive.

During the investigation, detectives released surveillance video of the suspect to the media and public and received multiple tips which led to the identification of Davis as the suspect.

On October 30, Davis was arrested on the strength of a criminal warrant charging him with one count of theft: $100 to under $1,500.  He was transported to the Central Processing Unit and is currently being held on a $500 bond.

The police department thanks the tipsters who provided the information that led to Davis’ identification and arrest.
