Detectives Investigate Serious Pedestrian Collision in Rockville

Update: November 21, 2018: The pedestrian is identified as Kitti Tong, age 27, of the 4700 block of Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda.

Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a personal injury collision involving a pedestrian that occurred in Rockville this evening.

On Monday, November 12, 2018, at approximately 5:20 p.m., officers from the Rockville City Police Department along with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to Beall Avenue at Gibbs Street for a collision involving a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2017 Dodge Charger was traveling westbound on Beall Avenue when it struck an adult female who was attempting to cross Beall Avenue from Gibbs Street. The adult female was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the 2017 Dodge Charger is identified as Anne Marie Sugrue, age 24, of Gaithersburg, who was not injured in the collision.

The pedestrian will be identified once family is notified.
