Detectives Investigate Commercial Burglary in Montgomery Village; Surveillance Photograph Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 6th District Investigative Section continue to investigate the November 4 commercial burglary of the employee area of a Bank of America in Montgomery Village. Today, investigators are releasing a surveillance photograph of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Monday, November 5, officers from the 6th District responded to the Bank of America located at 19226 Montgomery Village Avenue for the report of a commercial burglary that had just been discovered.

Investigators reviewed video surveillance that showed the suspect inside the bank’s employee-only area at approximately 11:40 a.m., 1:49 p.m., and 9:21 p.m. on Sunday, November 4.  Detectives believe the suspect may have gained entry into the employee area through an unlocked rear door.  The suspect did not attempt to gain access into the main area of the bank. The suspect stole items from the employee area.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this burglary is asked to contact the 6th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5770.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspects.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
