Detectives Investigate Serious Collision in Rockville

Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a personal injury collision that occurred in Rockville this evening.

On Friday, November 23, 2018, at approximately 6:59 p.m., officers from the 4th District along with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to Norbeck  Road in the area of Westbury Road for the report of a collision between two vehicles.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a Ford Focus was traveling westbound on Norbeck Road when it became involved in a collision with a Ford E-150 Van that was making a left turn from Westbury Road onto westbound Norbeck Road.  After the initial collision, the Ford Focus struck a brick signage structure on the side of the roadway.

The Ford E-150 Van was driven by an adult male who was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.  The Ford Focus contained a juvenile female driver, an adult female passenger, and three juvenile females in the rear passenger seats.  All occupants of the Ford Focus were transported to local hospitals with critical injuries.
