Detectives Investigate Rockville Area Gas Station Robbery; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the December 5 robbery of an Exxon gas station in the Rockville area.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Wednesday, December 5, at approximately 12:15 a.m., 4th District officers responded to the Exxon gas station located at 5500 Norbeck Road for the report of a robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect, with his face concealed, entered the gas station and approached an adult male employee who was working behind the counter.   The suspect implied that he was armed with a weapon and demanded cash.  The suspect stole property and currency from the business and fled on foot.
