Silver Alert Issued for Missing Aspen Hill Man

Update: December 24, 2018 at 11:30 p.m. - William James Kelley has been located safe and unharmed.  The Silver Alert has been cancelled.




The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Aspen Hill man.  A Silver Alert has been activated for 78-year-old William James Kelley of the 7000 block of Bardot Street.  Mr. Kelley is showing signs of dementia.

Mr. Kelley left his residence at approximately 1:30 p.m. today (Monday, December 24), in a red, 2016 Chevrolet Camaro with Maryland tag: ML0566. He was driving to a family member’s residence located in the Alexandria, Virginia area and he has not arrived.

Mr. Kelley is described as an African American male who is approximately 6-feet-tall and weighs 165 pounds.  He has brown eyes and grey hair.

Police and family are concerned for Mr. Kelley's welfare.

Anyone with information regarding William James Kelley’s whereabouts or anyone who sees his vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1.
