Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the December 8 attempted robbery of the Little Acorn Pharmacy in White Oak.  Today, investigators are releasing a surveillance photograph and composite sketch of one of the three male suspects and ask for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Saturday, December 8, at approximately 10:15 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Little Acorn Pharmacy located at 11161 New Hampshire Avenue for the report of an attempted strong-arm robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the three suspects, with their faces concealed by masks, entered the pharmacy.  One suspect went behind the counter, assaulted and threatened an adult male employee, and demanded prescription medication.  The employee told that suspect that the pharmacy did not have the medication that he was demanding.  That suspect then demanded that the employee open the pharmacy’s safe.  The employee refused, and all three suspects fled.

The investigation further revealed that one of the suspects had entered the pharmacy without his face concealed approximately ten minutes before the attempted robbery occurred.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects or the attempted robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
