Update: Suspects Identified in Wheaton Carjacking

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department  of Police – Major Crimes Division, continue to investigate an armed carjacking that occurred on December 31, 2018, in the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton.

On Monday, December 31, at approximately 3:27 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a call reporting an armed carjacking that had just occurred in the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton.

Responding officers located the victim who reported that two suspects had displayed a handgun and had taken her vehicle.  A lookout was placed for the stolen vehicle along with a description of the two suspects.

At approximately 3:44 p.m., officers responding to the call spotted the stolen vehicle and were able to perform a traffic stop in the area of Columbia Pike and Greencastle Road.  The two suspects were taken into custody without incident.  A replica handgun was retrieved on the scene of the traffic stop.

The two suspects have been identified as Eric Ebryma Jeng, age 24, of the 12900 block of Winterthur Lane in Silver Spring, and Tabatha Samantha Frampton, age 23, of the unit block of R Street, NE, Washington, DC.
