Detectives Investigate Burglary At Darnestown Area School

Detectives from the 1st District are investigating a burglary that occurred at the Butler Montessori School in the Darnestown area on Thursday, December 27.  Today, the Police Department is releasing video surveillance and photographs of the suspect and is asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact investigators.

On Thursday, December 28, officers responded to the Butler Montessori School located at 15951 Germantown Road for the report of a burglary that had occurred earlier at the school.  Investigators have determined that the burglary occurred on December 27 between 10:44 p.m. and 11:23 p.m.  The suspect arrived at the school in a vehicle.  It is believed that he entered the school through an unlocked classroom door and walked throughout the building.  At this time, it appears that the suspect did not steal anything.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this suspect and/or burglary to call them at 240-773-6084.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
