Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the December 23, 2018 armed robbery of a taxi driver that occurred in the Aspen Hill area. Today, investigators are releasing a surveillance photograph of one of the three male suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
The investigation by detectives revealed that on December 23 at approximately 3:30 a.m., a Ride Latino taxi service driver arrived at the 14100 block of Pear Tree Lane to pick up a customer. The driver was approached by the three suspects, two of whom had their faces concealed and were armed with a knife. The armed suspects threatened the driver and obtained cash.
Anyone with information regarding the suspects or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
