Arrests Made in White Oak Double Homicide

For Immediate Release: Thursday, January 31, 2019

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested Dontaye Jamahl Hunt, age 18, of Silver Spring, and Noah Foster Barnett, age 18, of Silver Spring, in connection to the January 28, homicides of Jordan Alexander Radway and Christian Deon Roberts.

On Monday, January 28, at approximately 8:37 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (911) received a call for the report of a serious collision that had just occurred in the 11600 block of Stewart Lane.  The caller stated that a vehicle had struck multiple parked cars on Stewart Lane.  Responding officers located two adult males deceased inside the vehicle which had struck the parked cars.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the two men had suffered from gunshot wounds and were subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) for autopsy.  The victims have been identified as Jordan Alexander Radway, age 23, of Laurel, and Christian Deon Roberts, age 24, of Silver Spring.

On January 29, the OCME ruled the manner of death for both Radway and Roberts to be homicide and the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds.

Further investigation by detectives revealed that Barnett had contacted Radway on January 28, to arrange a marijuana deal between Radway and Hunt.  Radway agreed and subsequently contacted Roberts to obtain the marijuana.  Contact between Hunt and Radway was made.

Later in the evening on January 28, Hunt met with Radway and Roberts in the 11500 block of Stewart Lane around 8:27 p.m.  Minutes later, witnesses described hearing gun shots and observed a vehicle speeding away from the scene.  The call to the Emergency Communications Center occurred shortly thereafter.

On January 30, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Dontaye Jamahl Hunt charging him with two counts of 1st Degree Murder.  Later in the day, detectives located and arrested Hunt.

On January 31, detectives located and arrested Noah Foster Barnett who was charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana.
