Detectives Investigate Two Commercial Armed Robberies Believed to be Committed by Same Suspect; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate two commercial armed robberies that detectives believe were committed by the same male suspect. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the suspect from one of these robberies and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

  • On Tuesday, January 29, at approximately 9:43 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Eastern Carryout located at 8555 Piney Branch Road for the report of a robbery that had just occurred. The suspect displayed a weapon, threatened an employee, and stole cash from the business and property from an employee.
  • On Sunday, February 3, at approximately 5:54 p.m., 1st District officers responded to the San Miguel Market located at 808 Baltimore Road in Rockville for the report of a robbery that had just occurred. The suspect displayed a weapon, threatened an employee, and stole cash from the business and property from the employee.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect or these armed robberies is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
