On January 24, Osogho I. Odu was reported missing from his Germantown residence. Mr. Odu's vehicle was
subsequently located unoccupied by law enforcement in Delaware on January 25. An extensive search for Odu was undertaken by several different agencies in the area where his vehicle was found.
On February 9, a joint search operation between Delaware State Police, Delaware Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police, Delaware State Parks Natural Resources Police, and Montgomery County Police with the assistance of Delmarva, Maryland SAR and Chesco Volunteer search teams were conducting a search in the area of Fort DuPont State Park in Delaware City, Delaware.
During these operations, the body of Osogho I. Odu was located and recovered.
The Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division and Managed Search Operations Team wish to thank the above listed agencies as well as the New Castle County Police, Delaware City Police and Delaware City Fire Department for their assistance during the investigation and subsequent recovery of Osogho I. Odu.
The Delaware State Police will be conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Osogho I. Odu.
