Detectives Investigate Undetermined Death in Rockville Area; Ask for Public’s Help to Identify Decedent

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the undetermined death of an adult male who was found deceased in a Rockville area creek. Investigators have been unable to identify the male. Today, detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the decedent and are releasing photographs of a watch and a plastic ring that were found with the male in the hopes that someone will recognize these items.

On Saturday, February 2, 4th District officers responded to a creek located near the area of Lake Bernard Frank and Trailway Drive for the report of a male found deceased in the creek.

There were no obvious signs of trauma to the male’s body and foul play is not suspected in this male’s death. The decedent’s remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore for an autopsy. The results of the autopsy are pending.

The decedent is described as a white male, approximately 6’3” tall and weighing approximately 250 pounds.
