Detectives Investigate Home Invasion Robbery in Bethesda Area; Surveillance Video of Suspects Released

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, February 26, 2019

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the February 19 robbery that occurred inside a home in the Bethesda area. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the two male suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

On Tuesday, February 19 at approximately 2:25 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to a residence in the 7700 block of Bradley Boulevard for the report of a home invasion robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives determined that the two suspects forced entry into the home through a side door that led to a studio area of the residence. The homeowner, who was monitoring his home video surveillance system, observed the two male suspects inside the studio and confronted them. The suspects fled from the residence and entered a black, hatchback vehicle that was parked outside.

The suspects then exited the vehicle and re-entered the home. The homeowner observed the two suspects back inside the residence and confronted one suspect.  During the confrontation with the first suspect, the second suspect stole property from the home. Both suspects then fled from the residence again and were last seen leaving the area in that black vehicle.

Detectives urge anyone with information about the suspects or this home invasion robbery to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.
