Detectives Investigate Theft; Police Seek the Public’s Assistance in Identifying Pickpocket Suspect

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit are investigating a report of a pickpocket at a Panera in Wheaton.

On the afternoon of December 24, 2018, the victim was dining at a Panera in Wheaton when her wallet was stolen. Later that day, the victim’s stolen credit cards were used to make fraudulent purchases at in College Park, Maryland.

Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photographs of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

Anyone with information about the suspects or this crime is asked to contact the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit at 240-773-5522.
